Hmm..I've made a vit knight at Valk. He is lvl 70 now. But maybe im not use to a vit build so I stop playing it.. Laughing

So usually a Vit knight will take Brandish rather than Bowling Bash. That is because Bowling skill can be interrupted and since u wont have a good flee with vit build, so thats why.
But some of us think Brandish spear is sucks. So they take 2 handed sword quicken and bowling bash with max on pierce. With nice equips u can solo at Kasa using pierce. Thats what i read and not from my experience.

We can wait for Freed to comment about this. He is making SVD knight which is quite similar with Vit build..

heres my comment about knights.

Vit build are not that good for knights, unless you're an LK, which is very good if you use vits.
If you wanna use vits its better if you make sader. With some good(godly actually) items you can almost reach 20k hp. 99 vit of course.

Swordman Leveling Guide Empty Re: Swordman Leveling Guide

Post  -Freed- Thu Sep 10, 2009 7:25 pm

oh? well....since I'm going for an SVD build, perhaps my advice could help. bear in mind, though, that I'm actually new to swordsmanship myself. so some parts of this are theory.

----------------------------------------------------------
so, anyways. all of my leveling from 30 to 54 has been on wolves. pure wolf grinding. it is actually the best exp grind there is for a newbie swordsman, and it'll net you two very important things:

a)FREE RECOVERY ITEMS: meat recovers so-so HP, but monster's feed recovers an extremely good amount of HP. it's baffling. I don't understand why swordsmen go through the effort of getting so much money and blowing it all on potions. it's amazing.

b)Strawberries: these are a very good source of income, going at 2k a pop, and somewhat common. they are also pretty vital if you're going to be spamming Bash or Magnum break against mobs.

in wolves, magnum break can be pretty awesome, if you have a decent weapon(I used a (2) Saber) it can deal around 500 dmg to each wolf, taking them out in two MBs. you need to have a decent amount of Vit and good armor to be able to tank up to 10 wolves at a time.

-------------------------------------------
BUILD

Now, the Build itself. the SVD knight is somewhat of a tank, but with good damage capabilities. the priority of stats is as follows:

1-STR: pretty obvious here. more Strength means higher damage output, and more space to carry loot. when checking strength, please note that you get a bonus to your damage for every 10 STR you have, be it hard points or equipment/buff points. so for example, if you have 46+3 STR, and you had points for the extra point, its a priority to get that point for the extra damage.

2-DEX/VIT: here is the main balance point. this is personal preference mostly, in terms of what to pick. DEX grants more accuracy on your blows, decreases the min/max damage gap, and every 5 DEX gives a +1 to your damage; not a very significant extra, but the accuracy and gap shortening is what you should be aiming for. VIT is useful for one thing mainly: more hitpoints. it also grants extra defense, but that grows meaningless as you get to higher levels. the other good points about VIT are the increased resistance to status ailments, and the greatly increased efficiency of healing items' recovery. so the choice is purely personal here, no real guideline. I believe I currently have 35 DEX and 29 VIT myself, I try to keep a balance, but I focus mainly on DEX and STR.

3-AGI: it's mainly useless for things, at least regarding this build. I pumped it to 15 or so, just to get my ASPD to 150. ignore unless necessary.

4-INT: pump this one to 12. it'll give you a decent amount of SP to use the much needed skills.

5-LUK: unless you're retarded or lack common sense, you won't put ANY points in luck. 'nuff said.

-------------------------------------------------------

SKILL BUILD

now then, this one is, again, personal opinion. it's how I worked.
-Swordman Skills-
increase HP recovery 10
Sword mastery 10
Bash 5
Provoke 8
Magnum break 4
Endure 2

higher points of endure won't really help much. and, you won't be using swords after you become a knight, as this build focuses mainly on spears.

-Knight Skills-
Peco Riding 1
Cavalier Mastery 5
Spear Mastery 10
Pierce 10
Spear Boomerang 5
Spear Stab 8
Brandish Spear 10

this is the set I'm aiming for. Pierce is generally used for hitting single targets, while B. Spear is used to deal with the mobs. now, I think that most people think that spear stab is teh suck, because I've not seen anyone ever use it. but quite frankly it's one of the most useful knight techs, in terms of defense. pushing away a mob can be life-saving, for you and your party, as it gives the party time to retreat or heal up.
---------------------------------------

that's basically all the advice I have, heh. feel free to comment, and I apologize if it seems like I highjacked the thread. I was asked for advice, and here it is. <_<
